At Underway Sailing, our mission is engage and encourage people to get out on the water. We aim to provide participants with a comprehensive knowledge of sailboat cruising with a focus on safety, self awareness and teamwork. We are passionate about sailing and want to help people discover the joy of this amazing activity.
Sea time is the official record of the days spent sailing and cruising that are used to build a sailing resumé. This is an exellent way to practice skills and gain valuable insight into acting as a skipper.
Sea time is acquired after successfully completing the Skipper Large Keelboat course and includes day and overnight passages into Howe Sound, the Sunshine Coast and across the Strait of Georgia.

Underway Sailing offers customized training on your boat. Learn about your boat's maneuverability under power and under sail. Through practice, become comfortable with docking, anchoring, sail changes, reefing and trouble-shooting, Learn the the techniques for short-handed and single-handed sailing. Understand the boat's design, its systems, and how best to maintain them. From the rigging to the bilges, the engine, the electrics and the plumbing: learn practical skills and maintenance procedures.

Evening sails in English Bay from 5pm until 8pm.
Bowen and Back - one day sail to Bowen Island in Howe Sound.
